Bacterial activity very low through-out catchment with the highest activity around the southern catchment at Bok River.
Results, in general, indicates that the water was fit for full-contact recreational use in the catchment.

The lockdown did cause some operational challenges and reason for late reporting of results.

The SBWQFT did however obtained permits for the taking of our annual State of the Bay sampling, it was successfully completed and report should be ready by September/October this year.

Who are we?

The Saldanha Bay Water Quality Forum Trust (SBWQFT) is a registered non-government organisation (NGO) that is voluntarily funded by large, medium and small industries operating within the area. This NGO creates a platform for discussions and mutual consent on the limitation and remediation of impacts on water quality and the marine ecosystem.
