Analyses indicate low levels of bacterial activity throughout the catchment. In the northern section of the catchment at Hoedjies Bay and the Bok River monitoring points the bacterial activity were higher than average, but still within acceptable levels. Also in the southern section of the catchment we see some activity at Strandloper and North Street in Langebaan. The levels are still acceptable and could be due to storm water runoff in these areas.

Water fit for full recreational activities.
