  • Afrisam’s Saldanha Environmental Audit Final Oct 2020

In terms of the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Regulations of 2014 (amended in 2017), promulgated in terms of the National Environmental Management Act, 1998 (Act 107 of 1998) (NEMA), specifically under regulation 34 are Environmental Authorization (EA) holders required to conduct compliance audits on their EA’s with the resultant audit report to be submitted to the Competent Authority (CA).

Regulation 34 further requires the notification of registered interested and affected parties (I&APs) once the report has been submitted to the CA and made available on a publically accessible website.

This mail is to duly notify you that AfriSam South Africa Pty (Ltd) has completed our Environmental Management Plan Audit report as contemplated above for the period January 2019 to December 2020 for our Tabakbaai operation based in Saldanha Bay Municipality.

The Audit Report has been submitted to the CA and has been made available on our website and can be found (here).

Kind Regards
AfriSam
