Results indicates that generally the water was fit for full-contact recreational use in catchment, except for Hoedjies Bay and the Bok River outlet.
The worsen water quality results at Hoedjies Bay and the Bok River outlet could be a direct impact of loadshedding which resulted in overflowing manholes and pumpstations (see photo). Care should be taken for full contact recreation activities and shellfish harvesting at these points.
