Dear Stakeholder

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) South Africa recently appointed Bio Solutiones Technicas (BST) to implement a project entitled “Exploring Seaweed Cultivation and Value Chains for Enterprise Development in the Coastal Communities of Saldanha Bay and St Helena Bay” in the Western Cape.

Please see the Letter of Support attached.

Training and engagement workshops with local community members around seaweed cultivation and use will be conducted in August 2024. Attached is an advert for open information sessions about these workshops, in Afrikaans and English. The advert will also be published in Afrikaans in the Weslander on 18 and 25 July.

You have been identified as a stakeholder representing members (Saldanha Bay Municipality) from the relevant coastal communities who may be interested in attending these workshops. We therefore request that you forward the advert to the members in your stakeholder group/s.

We thank you for your assistance.

Yours sincerely

Wendy Long
