This Environmental Control Officer (ECO) summary report provides feedback on Saldanha Bay Aquaculture Development Zone (ADZ) compliance with the Environmental Authorisation (EA) and approved Environmental Management Programme (EMPr). This summary report is distributed to Operators, members of the Consultative Forum (CF), members of the ADZ Management Committee (AMC) and the Department of Forestry, Fisheries, and the Environment (DFFE): Compliance Monitoring Directorate.
The two primary purposes of this report include:
- Ensuring stakeholders are updated on ADZ activities; and,
- Highlighting areas for improvement in ADZ activities to allow for adaptive management.
