The Part 1 application for amendments to the ADZ EA and amended EMP was submitted to the DEFF Branch – Regulatory Compliance and Sector Monitoring (the “Department” hereafter) on the 16th of July 2020 via online submission. The amendments applied for are administrative in nature and are intended to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the ADZ management.
The Department has now approved the application and has decided to amend the EA in terms of Chapter 5 of the EIA Regulations of 2014, as amended.
Below for your information please find the official communication from the Department, containing the details of the various amendments. Your attention is also drawn to the provision for appeal, as detailed on page 7 of the attached document.
