S SFF Association has been a founder member/contributor of the SBWQTF since its inception dating back to 1999, the sharing of costs toward monitoring programmes to monitor the marine water quality and sensitive ecosystem in the Bay of Saldanha in which we operate has been our motivation toward this utmost important element where all relevant stakeholders have a shared interest in the protection of marine water quality and ecosystem degradation.
The sharing between the SBWQTF with the sound scientific knowledge base which provides the concise Yearly report gives a clear indication of the condition of the Bay at large and provides Industry and other with a clear vision of the “health” of the Bay each Year, it also provides a platform to discuss related Environmental issues and impacts and to advise Legislators on the monitoring results, SFF Association is proud to be affiliated to the SBWQFT.
